Cell 7 is set in the future around 30 years. It is similar to the current world except the justice system has changed. Instead of evidence and a judge it is done by the rest of the world gets to vote and it costs 5 dollars to vote if someone is guilty or innocent and you can vote as much as you want. The system is corrupt and many people get framed and the rich can choose who is innocent and guilty because they can vote multiple times with all of their Money
