Scamborghini Advertisement Reflection

For three weeks we have been making a advertisement. Our ad was a spoof of a Lamborghini, instead we called it a Scamborghini. When we were making the script and the car everyone was working well and had a job. When we were videoing I think we could have changed the angles so there wasn't as much glare for the cameras. When we were trying to edit it was complicated because we recorded on different devices and they wouldn't work on the same editing program. Eventually we made it work but it took up a lot of our time. If I made another video I would think about the camera angles more.

Dance styles

This term we have been learning how people use The arts to communicate. We have investigated the characteristics of different dance styles. We experimented with each dance style ourselves, practised our note taking skills and created our own dance sequences.

What do we know about the arts ?

Science Roadshow

On Tuesday 14 March Ruma J went to a science roadshow at Grey high. The roadshow was in the hall. Around the edges of the hall were lots of exhibits with things to do with science. At the start and end of the show they showed us different pieces of equipment and and what they were used for like infra red cameras, x-ray machines, microscope, and binoculars. They showed us the difference between physical and chemical change. They put a flower in liquid nitrogen and it froze completely and its petals turned into crystal things.  One of the exhibits was where you rubbed your hands together and then placed them on metal which made static energy. They had lots of different cups and water and when they put the water in different cups it changed colour. There was a tube with something in it and then something else got added which made it foam up really big and it was called "elephant toothpaste", it was a blueish green colour. and In the middle of the room was a hovercraft thing that you sat on and people pushed you around on it. I would have liked some more time to explore the exhibits.

My Company logo

 At school we have been learning about money. We are using a new digi -tool called banqer. Banqer is a virtual online banking system that you use to learn about money. I am in a company called space chimps with three of my friends, Zak, Theo and Jaymin . Our company sweeps stones off the court, cleans the classroom floor and stacks the chair at the end of the day. We recently created our logo. First all four of us created a logo, then we got the class to vote on who's logo was best. Zak's logo won so that was the one we chose.

My sound experiment

The sound was higher pitched in the glasses with the least amount of water, I think this is because  the sound can make the class vibrate  more because the water is not stopping the class from vibrating, I also think that the object is blocking the vibrations as well as water.
