Scamborghini Advertisement Reflection

For three weeks we have been making a advertisement. Our ad was a spoof of a Lamborghini, instead we called it a Scamborghini. When we were making the script and the car everyone was working well and had a job. When we were videoing I think we could have changed the angles so there wasn't as much glare for the cameras. When we were trying to edit it was complicated because we recorded on different devices and they wouldn't work on the same editing program. Eventually we made it work but it took up a lot of our time. If I made another video I would think about the camera angles more.

My weekend

This weekend I played league against suburbs. I got 4 tries and my team won the game. After the game my cousin took me, my brother, my friend and my friend's brother to see the new transformers movie. It was an awesome movie. On Sunday my cousin, me, my brother and my dad had a BB gun fight. My cousin lifted me up onto the roof of our shed with the tractor and I shot people from up on the shed. Sadly I ran out of bullets. I rode my quad bike with my cousin and brother.

My Weekend

This weekend I played league against Hokitika, My team lost. On Saturday night I went over to my friends to stay the night. We watched the rugby, played on the Ipads and set an eel trap. We went to sleep at 12 and woke up at 8, we went and checked the eel trap and there was nothing. For breakfast we had homemade bread, bacon, eggs and baked beans. Then we mucked about on the scooters. When I went home I helped dad load a cage onto a truck with the tractor and accidentally hit a tree with the tractor bucket.

My Weekend

This weekend we went over to Christchurch to sell one of our ponies called Woody. It was sad when we sold him. We went over in our horse truck. It is a big camper van with space for horses in the back. On the way back from Christchurch we stopped on a hill and had a snowball fight. Our dog buster loved the snow and rolled around in it. On Sunday night I watched the movie Hacksaw Ridge, it is a really really good movie. On Monday I rode my motorbike and helped Dad shift cows.

My Weekend

This weekend I played league in Dobson against suburbs. We one 30-14, I got player of the day and I scored a hat-trick. My little brother played his game and lost. On Sunday Toby played a curtain raiser town vs country for the premiers game. After Toby's game we stayed and watched the Seabull's and they won against Suburbs.

My weekend

On Saturday I played rugby league with Jakob and Tylar against Cobdin. We were getting beaten by a lot in the first half but in the second half we had a comeback but we didn't win. On Saturday Me, Toby, Mum, Jakob, Blake and Jakob's Mum went to the movies and watched a dog's purpose. On the way home we got pizza.

My weekend

This weekend we had monday off. My family and me went to a friends farm and rode the motor bikes and horses. I played with our dogs. On Monday I went to my drumming lessons and my brother went to his guitar lessons. I played some play station. I rode my trials bike and didn't crash this time.

My Weekend

This weekend I did the mud run in Christchurch. We left on Saturday and drove to Christchurch. On the way to Christchurch we went and had a catch up with my great auntie and great uncle.  When we got there we went to our hotel and relaxed. We got lamb with spuds for tea, it was really nice. I watched a movie and played on my iPad then went to bed. The next morning we went to the mud run. My little brother went first then I did. In the mud run you had to run through a 1.5 km course. There were lots of obstacles like crawling under cars, going over hay bales, going through hale bales a slip n slide and there was lots of mud. We went to my Aunties and had a shower and met their new dog and ate some food then went and had a catch up with a great auntie. We got burger king then went home.

My Weekend

On Friday it was my 12th birthday. I got 2 playstation 4 games, a machete, a headlamp, 2 merino shirts, chocolate, books and a playstation plus membership. On Saturday Mum made lemon pankaces and I had a bb gun fight with my Dad and Brother and I made a little base in the bush with my machete. I also played some of my new games on the PS4 and watched a movie. On Sunday the weather wasn't great but I rode my 4 wheeler a little bit, played the playstation and watched a movie. Mum made a really nice pork roast with lots of crackle.

My Weekend

This weekend I helped Mum and Dad put hay in our hay shed that Dad went and got from Christchurch in his truck. I mucked about on my four wheeler a bit and I can put it on 2 wheels for about 15 seconds. On Saturday I went to town and the Brunner rugby league sign up.

My Weekend

This weekend I went to Tylar's birthday party. On Saturday we went to Nelson creek for a swim and barbecue. We jumped off the rocks into the river, played Hide and seek tag build ups and ate food. When we went back to Tylar's we played  cops and robbers and go home stay home. We had dinner then watched a movie and then played spotlight and then we were going to watch another movie. Tylar, Hamish and Theo fell asleep while watching the movie so Niko and me were the only ones that were still awake. On Sunday We played touch and watched scooby-doo. I got dropped off around two and then went down to the river with my Mum and Brother.

My Weekend

This weekend There was pretty good weather which is really unusual. On Saturday I helped shift some of the cows and set up horse jumps for Mum. I made a corner of mud in one of the paddocks on my motorbike. There were Lots of thistles in one of the paddocks and I pushed a barrel around on my four wheeler crushing the thistles. My Dad made a sort of hole in the ground which I used as a jump.   On Sunday  I rode my four wheeler a lot and did a wall ride on a big pile of sawdust and did lots of drifts and donuts. My family and I also went to someones farm to get hay. I had a really fun weekend and mucked about on my motorbike a lot.

My weekend

This weekend on Friday My family and I went down to Hokitika for a horse show that was on Saturday and we stayed the night in our horse truck. My little brother Toby and my Mum rode their horses on Saturday. Toby rode in a lead rein class and my Mum rode in dressage, show jumping and hunter jumping. On Sunday the weather wasn't but I helped Dad with the wood, fed the cows and tried to tame the little kitten at our hay shed. I also spent some time playing with Lego and on the play station.

2016 Review

2016 Review

This year has been fun and interesting. Using Chromebooks has made my writing better, funner and more interesting. Although I like writing better on a screen I find maths much better on paper with pencils. Maths has been difficult this year especially when I am doing algebra. I have done lots of activities outside of school grounds such as Skiing, Swimming, Overnighter, Going to Shanty town, going sailing, planting trees, and going to tech space. All of these have been really fun and I learnt lots. We have also had some visitors to Lake Brunner School such as Harold the giraffe,  Elgregoe and  the First aid people.  Technology has been really fun this and I got to make really cool things. We also got new toilets.

                           Ruma J Overnight Trip 2016

Last week Ruma J went on an overnight trip to Kaniere. We left on Thursday and came back on Friday. On Thursday we went to Te Marae and experienced a powhiri, then we went to lake Kaniere, went for a swim and played some tackle. Then we went to the lodge and played some games and spotlight. On Friday we went on a small bush walk the went to the tree top walk. After that we went to Hokitika for some fish n chips and then went home.

Pots and Pans Drumming

For the past two weeks of weeks Ruma J has been learning about pots and pans percussion and entered a competition hosted by Rad Rhythm. To enter the competition you have to come up with a drumming sequence on pots and pans. Your sequence had to be 1-2  minutes long and the grand prize is a drum kit for the school. I found the pots and pans drumming fun and a way I could use my drumming skills at school since I do drumming lessons most Mondays and I have a drum set at home.I would like to enter this competition next year. I hope lakebrunner keeps on teaching different types of music and I hope that we win the competition so we get the drum kit. If I could Remake my sequence I would have added more layering of patterns, movement of the pots and stick tricks.

St Johns First Aid Program

On Tuesday the 2,8,16  Denise from St Johns came and we learnt CPR  and  she showed us some of her equipment. We learnt CPR on dummies and we also played a game at the start where we had to make the right decision  to save someone's life because he had hypothermia. Some of the things we did last year bit I had more fun this year because we got to play the game at the start and we got to use some of the equipment.

Reflection: Elgregoe

Today Elgregoe come to our Lake Brunner School to teach us about bulling. Elgregoe is a ventriloquist and a magician.

 My favourite part was when he floated and when his birds appeared, he had a lot of really cool birds. He had some anti-bulling sayings, some of them were : Hands are for helping, not for hurting, Don't repeat everything you hear , repeat the things that are friendly and helpful, Traffic light- stop, think, go. It was really entertaining because of the illusions and the birds, I want to learn how to do some illusions.
